With this course you will be able to:

  • Describe EEG procedures, including application of the modified 10-20 system for electrodes and measurement of the neonatal head

  • Identify and define basic EEG elements such as amplitude, synchrony, continuity, discontinuity, symmetry, and specific neonatal EEG graphoelements
  • Recognize biobehavioral states and sleep cycles in EEG according to age
  • Identify specific and normal EEG elements and patterns and their changes according to age
  • Recognize the basic features of other methods of EEG display
